Just had a great visit at Dentist of Kissimmee. As soon as I walked in, Flavia made me feel right at home. Katerina was super helpful with everything, and Dr. Mejia treated me with such care and professionalism. They’re an amazing team — I definitely recommend them.🙏🏻

First Visit Experience: I was experiencing some dental tooth discomfort with on and off pain when I was enjoying icy beverages or even using mouthwash. I decided to find a dentist immediately. As someone who hasn't been to a dentist since they were a child (I am 35 now), I was definitely nervous about going to see a dentist and unsure who to see. They were actually my third call as two other dentist offices did not want to help me just to solve that problem, they only wanted to help me if I wanted work on my whole mouth. Dentists of Kissimmee was a breathe of fresh air. When Flavia answered the phone she immediately sounded pleasant and welcoming. She listened to my concerns, and was happy to help me fix the main issue. She was even able to get me in ASAP. When I walked in their offices today (April 15th), I was meant with lovely receptionists (I am so sorry ladies as I forgot your names but I will remember them in the future! Give me time!). Flavia even came up to meet me. The Dental Assistant (I also forgot her name), was super sweet and very willingly to explain the processes during the examination. We even had some fun with how to lower the exam chair! :D I am a pretty tall woman. After my exams and X-ray, I met Dr. Kiara. She was also very kind, and did not make me feel ashamed for not coming in sooner. Actually she (and everyone I interacted with) gave me praise for how well I've been caring for my teeth. This was just normal wear and tear. Unfortunately, it turned out I need to get a root canal, two or three fillings, and one inlay. The sound of a root canal was terrifying, but when Dr. Kiara explained the procedure I was made comfortable. Anything new makes me nervous and the last time I heard of doing a root canal was with one of my parents years ago and that was a horror experience, but it seems things have improved since the late 90s. Flavia then came in to talk to me about financials. I will say they will do everything in their power to help you to get the care you need. I have never seen an office care so much or work that hard to make it work. Seriously. Not even my own PCP or GYN, will work that hard (they're also great too though)! My appointment was at noon and I want to say it was probably an hour later treatment started. I didn't leave till about 4pm or slightly after 4pm. I had a lot of cleaning that needed to be taken care of. Victoria had such a gentle disposition. Administering local anesthia was a bit nervewrecking but after she grabbed my husband for comfort it was much better. I will say all of these ladies did their absolute best to make sure I was comfortable, happy, not in pain, and treated me with such kindness and compassion. While it sucks I need to get a root canal, I am glad to have found this amazing team. I do plan to come back, not just for my root canal, but for maintenance. When my root canal is done, I will try to circle back and let y'all know how it went. Thank you ladies for everything that you did today! So far you've won me over! Tell Flavia next time I will try to remember that coffee LOL
